She’s flying as the air rushes past the hint of the golden yellow light. Youthfully kicking her red deck boots back, swinging out to the horizon and pulling in grey coolness of Sitka’s totems, towering Sitka spruce, and a seiner fishing boat in the far distance. We only see her back, but feel the contemplative air. Her hands hold the woven ropes that suspend the swing, and she supports herself with focused graceful ease. In this moment, mesmerized by the beauty of the sea. 2024.
